The Master's Banana Bread

Keeping the snarling mob at bay with a dirty spatula, I managed to snap one shot of the last piece of The Master's cake before it vanished in record time.

The Master is my son, breadmaker extraordinaire. He also makes a mean oatmeal cookie and this new banana recipe is a tasty addition to his repetoire. We love this dessert and consider it cake, not bread.

Having no loaf pan (it's near the top of my Xmas list), he uses our smallest springform pan, creating a lovely one layer cake.

Here's the recipe:

Banana Bread

3-4 ripe bananas
1/4 c melted butter
1 c brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 c flour
1/4 tsp salt

1/2 c chocolate chips
1/2 c chopped walnuts
Mash bananas. Combine all other ingredients, then add bananas. Pour into buttered pan.
Bake in a 350 oven for 50 minutes.
