TWD - French Pear Tart
This week's dessert celebrates the first year anniversay of the Tuesdays With Dorie baking group. To honour this occasion, Dorie, herself picked this dessert. You can find the recipe on her blog.
As Dorie says, the crust is essentially cookie dough. It turned out not too sweet with a nice snap, a great complement to the almond paste filling.
I don't usually make a dessert this fancy. We're more a banana bread and chocolate chip cookie family. It took us a while to enjoy the Pear Tart. Almond is a little sweet but we learned to appreciate its richness. It will be a while before I make it again.
