TWD - Oatmeal Breakfast Bread
It was love at first bite. This cake was so moist and airy I was taken back to a childhood honey cake that I loved. I immediately started to think of all the possible substitutions for the apple sauce. Definitely pears. Probably yams. Or half and half of any of these purees with honey.
For dried fruit I used figs. I liked them but wished I'd used something that stood out a bit more like dried cranberries. Maybe if I'd included some nuts.
This is a great every day quick bread/ cake that I will make often. Natalie of Oven Love chose the recipe. Please check out her blog. She made adorable muffins.
