TWD - Double Apple Bundt Cake

This was a great moist bundt cake. Along with diced apples, I added walnuts and golden raisins. The recipe called for apple butter, but having none, I substituted pureed bananas. The texture of the cake was perfect and there was no overpowering banana flavour. This one's definitely going in the baking rotation.

Thanks to Lynne of Honey Muffin for chosing this recipe.

I have a question for Dorie's bakers - My turn to choose a recipe is coming up.  Is there anything you want to bake pre-Christmas that hasn't been chosen yet?   Please help me out.  Thanks

  1. I thought this was a yummy cake! I used purchased apple butter (it's pricey), someone shared a recipe of apple butter made in the crockpot. I want to try it. Have we made the Cranberry Lime Galette? That looks yummy! What about the Date Nut Loaf, I love the flavor and texture of dates, so much better than raisins! Good luck.

  2. p.s. Ilove that bundt pan--is it full or 1/2 size?
How many bundt pans is too many to own? October is my birthday month--I feel a need to celebrate myself!

  3. Love your idea of adding bananas. I probably would have liked that better than the apples. Beautiful cake you made. Love the shape of it.

  4. Your bundt cake pan is just too cute! I love the shape of your apple/banana cake. Adding banana was brilliant.

BTW, I think only one recipe of the shortbread cookies have been made to date and there is still one more cranberry poundcake I believe to be baked. (Fresh Cranberries will be in season)
