TWD - Great Grains Muffins

How have I never made these before?  I don't know.  A blend of whole wheat, cornmeal, oats and anything grainy you'd like to add, this recipe is a healthy, tasty catch-all.  The maple syrup didn't make a big impression, but then my added blueberries tend to overpower any other flavour.  I probably could have used agave instead.

Thanks to Christine of Happy Tummy for choosing this recipe.  Please go to her blog and grab the recipe.  You will make it over and over.  I can't wait to see what additions eveyone has chosen.

  1. It's been too long since I came by to say hello! Your muffins look just like mine--I used blueberries too. I agree that you couldn't taste the maple, but I really enjoyed these just the same.

  3. I was telling Mary how I loved her addition of blueberries--lovely to see that you used them too! Blueberries would have been my second pick after raisins :) Your muffin looks delicious. So glad you enjoyed these, and thanks for baking with me this week!

  5. I love blueberries, great addition. I am going to try them with dates.
You asked about my photo last week. The cake was on the rail of my deck. I used macro setting and focused on the white cake plate. I don't know much about photography. Sometimes I think my photos are by accident!

  7. The blueberries look good! Were these fresh? I thought about using agave, went with honey which worked well.

  13. The blueberries overpowered? I would think they would add a good taste to them. These were versatile weren't they?
